11 days after posting my last post wanting to be below 270 for my trip on December 31st, I have already done it! I had 22 days, and I have done it in less than half that time! I am now at 267.2, which means I lost 10.4 pounds in 11 days. Holy Cow!

I am back up to 277.6.
Gonna try and shed as much of this as I can before the big hiking trip on January 1st. I have 22 days. If I could get down to 270, that would be a big help.

This was the first time that Dwight “Precha Man” Gonzalas, Eddie “Trail Monkey” Miller, and Rodger “Colt” Paxton got together for a weekend of hiking. We decided to create a few loops in the Buffalo National River area out of the Buffalo River Trail, some connecting trails, and the Old River Horse Trail. We all arived at the Ozark campgrounds Thursday night and got up on Friday morning to do some hiking. The temps were supposed to have been down to around 22 as a low, so it was cold, but we all stayed nice and warm with our modern equipment. We started Continue reading »

We arrived at the Ozark campgrounds Friday afternoon and just set up camp. Got up early Saturday morning to do the Centerpoint trail. Let me tell you, this is NOT the trail to do when you are out of shape. Going down to the river was great. Continue reading »

My name is Grayson Payne Paxton. I was born on May 27th, 2008, at 1:54 pm. I weighed in at 6 pounds and 9 ounces and am 19 inches tall! After an emergency c-section, both Mom and I are doing fabulous (and Dad is trying to keep up)!

Tomorrow is the big day!!! And we are SO ready!
We check in for induction at Baptist East at 6am, so be sure to send some happy thoughts our way
We decided to name the baby Grayson Payne - Grayson in honor of Jess’ grandfather Grady and Payne is Rodger’s middle name, and his mother’s maiden name. Pa is tickled pink about the baby being named after him, but, of course, he’d never let you know it
Reagan is off at Noni and Poppy’s and we won’t see him again until Gray arrives. So let’s hope that he doesn’t freak out about seeing mommy in the hospital AND this whole “what do you mean the baby isn’t going to be in your belly forever?!” thing.
We’ll do our best to keep everyone updated.
-Our little family of three,
Rodger, Jess and Reagan
